Why won't my camera turn on?

I have a Canon EOS XT 350D digital Rebel. Yesterday, I took the memory card out so I could upload the pictures onto my computer. I put it back into the camera and now it won't turn on. I charged the battery overnight, so that's not the problem. What do you think is wrong?
