Thinking about joining coast guard?

i want a career in law enforcement, and im not sure how to put this, but will the CG let me do drug smuggling and counter terrorism operations only because i don't really have any interest in some of the other things i read about. im not really sure how the CG works if some one could help me i would really appreciate it.
