If you pray to God and say you are sorry can you go to heaven?

I was thinking back when i was a kid. My mom use to make me say sorry all the time. I said it with my mouth but did not mean it in my heart. The only time i really meant it was when my actions followed what i said. Being sorry to God will do you no good unless you show God you are sorry with your everyday living. We have to repent to God. He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. You can hide nothing from God. You may be able to full everyone around you, but God will not be fooled. You will account for every thing you have every done on your day of judgement.
