I think you are absolutely right. I also think the president had no idea that he was causing such a furor with his remarks. He does not have a lot of experience in diplomacy or foreign affairs and I think he just made a mistake. Unfortunately, the people on his staff didn't serve him well. They should have advised him to simply say, "mutually agreed upon boundaries."
