Why do people continue to have tons of kids and lead life through rose colored gles like the brady bunch?

On one end of the spectrum is your rose color gles folk. On the other end are the dirty smoke colored folk who ar focused on doom and gloom. That's you. Then, somewhere in the middle are folks like me who see the bad in the world but understand we can still win the good life. Neither end of the spectrum is in balance. I do believe we should limit our numbers to two or so kids per family but don't see having more as a complete departure from reality. Some do live the "shiny, smiley", delusional life but not all who are happy are ignorant of the world. Some of us see the world and choose to be happy despite it. Others see the world and give up. Absurd! Life has always been hard and dangerous. People have always been free to choose how they deal with it. The extremes choose to give in one way or the other while the middle...Which would you really rather be? I choose open eyed and happy.
